The June Edition: But first…eeeeeeeeeeeeek!!!!

I did a thing.

A couple of months back, I came across a contest on Instagram. I entered, on a total whim, not thinking it would go much further. Then last week, I got a text that Jake and I had been selected.

For what, you ask?

I have no idea if every single person who simply submitted gets to be in the first round because honestly, I’m still not entirely sure what I even entered. We may make it to opening day for voting and realize there are 6,456 other entrants, but hey, it’s still super fucking cool our faces and magical story (in 500 characters or less — not an easy feat for this wordy mouth!!) have their own profile page on a major platform.

PLEASE, PLEASE bookmark this link and come back to vote on or after June 30th and spread this like wildfire! I believe wholeheartedly in my and Jake’s love story and what I want most—far more than winning $20k—is to tell the world that real, honest-to-god, over-the-moon-for-you, magical, deep soul-level LOVE is absolutely real, and to share our story with the world.

I will also have it posted as a static link on my Instagram page and will be posting when voting is live. It would mean so much to me if you not only voted, but shared the link with others and help us spread our magical story!

🪄 Currently Conjuring

Currently Reading: Ina Garten’s memoir, Be Ready When the Luck Happens. This book has over 90k reviews on Goodreads for a reason! Who knew Ina Garten was such a badass!? I only knew her as the “Barefoot Contessa,” a woman who had a cooking show. Wow, was I wrong! This memoir details her life and her many wild adventures and had me shouting, “No way!” numerous times. 10/10 would recommend.
Currently Watching: I just finished the mini-series Sirens and the movie Nonnas, both on Netflix. If you want suspense and intrigue (with a side of heaviness and commentary on trauma and manipulation), go for Sirens. If you want a feel-good film about underdogs who come out on top and food scenes to make you drool, definitely go for Nonnas!
Currently Listening To: Lots of spoken word! I came across “A Pragmatist’s Guide to Magic” by Kyle Guante and urge you to listen to this spitfire!!!

✨ Outfit of the Month (O.O.T.M.)

It’s giving “Daisy Duke does Miami” with a touch of Midas. I could go from the beach to the streets (for a fun night out, that is) just by adding the wrap and gold heels (which were thrifted. And I can’t believe I scored them!)
